A salve is a product applied topically to heal the skin. It can be a balm, ointment, or cream. Salves are used to treat itchy skin, dry skin, boils, infections and even aches and pains depending on the herbs used. Most salves are made with beeswax (cera alba) which is not Vegan. I use Candelilla wax, a plant based wax, for all my salves.
A good body oil is far superior to lotion for keeping your skin healthy and resilient. Body oils lock in moisture and when combined with certain essential oils can boost immune defense. If your take the time to massage body oils into the skin, your body will easily absorb them and you won't be left feeling greasy. Use only the size of a dime in the palm of your hand to apply. Allow the oil to soak in for at least five minutes before getting dressed. You can also dilute any of my body oils into any carrier of choice, I recommend coconut or avocado oil.
Our skin is our first defense against invading pathogens. Keeping our skin healthy is a key in supporting our immune system. I have sensitive skin and so I formulated a gentle pure castile liquid herbal soap for the shower. Our skin has good bacteria on it and when we use harsh detergents and antibacterial soaps that good bacteria is destroyed. Try out this awesome herbal soap!
The essential oils I put into my products are the same essential oils I use everyday. This spritzer does more than freshen the air! I spray it around my apartment when I am getting ready for company to come over. I spray it over my bed to settle on my blankets. It's warming and comforting. You can even use it to clean a ritual space for Yoga or a spell!
